May is here and the end of the will be here soon. Let's end the year strong academically. Always do your best and get enough rest so that you are prepared to work at school.
Last month, the 6th grade class had an amazing experience at Outdoor School. I marvel every year at the kinds of things students learn and the maturity they demonstrate away from the regular school setting.
In 6th grade, I use the iPads to enhance the curriculum. The major curricular area for history is ancient history, such as Rome and Greece. One type of project that solidifies the learning is a short documentary film with voice-over about a specialized subject within a unit, such as the daily life and diet on an Egyptian.
In social studies, we are studying the ancient Greeks.
